Well, if you are needing 80 volts AC, then you are OK. I assumed you
needed 80 volts DC. Due to the sine wave of AC, you always have to
consider the factor 1.414 which averages out the AC to the actual DC
obtained after going thru the bridge rectifier and capacitors.

You could drop the voltage but it may not be worth the effort or cost.
Might take a pretty big zener if you want to go from 113 vdc to 75 or 80
vdc. Might be lots o watts. Perhaps you could just exchange your
transformer. If the suppliers are nice guys, etc...... :-). On the
other hand, you might use the transformer for a nice EDM power supply
sometime.
