Hi Dex
try to arrange the fans so that they draw air through the filters. An easy way
to do this is to mount the fans on the equipment cabinet (metal preferred) so
that the fans evacuate the air from the inside the cabinet. The filter can be
mounted over inlet holes cut into the cabinet sides. Use several filters if
you lilke. This draw through arrangement tends to even out the air pressure
drop across the filter media which results in more even distribution of
airflow and lower air velocity. You also might try using pleated air filters,
they are more efficient at trapping fine dust than fiberglass filters.
