Bridgeport BOSS4 wiring question

Has anyone every wired there BOSS4 so you could use single phase
straight to the controller?
What I would like to be able to do is have the controller run on
single phase and only use the 3 phase converter to run the spindle
motor.
I know it is changed inside the main power box but just wondering
if anyone has rewired theres in such a manner.
I think it would be nice to do setup work and even digitize using
the axis motors without the need for a 3 phase converter running.
