newbie

Hi I have just joined this group and wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Lane Barry and I live in central florida. My intrests lean
more to robotics and electronics. I have a strong computer skill set
as well. A friend recomended this group to me due to my various
intrests. I am a member of some of the robotic groups but they are
mostly building toys.


Now for the newbie question:

I have a boardmaker 912 from IBC corp. It is a simple mill with X/Y
and mill down. Internally it has a pair of SLO-SYN stepper motor
translators wired to a standard printer port interface. I have
written some VBASIC stuff to excersize it ant the mechanisim is sweet.
I want to bring this machine back from the grave

I am looking for simple milling software or even subroutines to keep
from having to write the thing from the ground up.

Any suggestions?
