The patterns look great, There might be some help out
there if you showed the actually castings that you made. I
am not familiar with the Silica Flour you are using. I used
to use sand and sodium silicate that was set with CO. The
surface was not too good. It looks like you are investment
casting and need the interior surfaces smooth enough that
no machining is necessary.

Heating the wire is easy. I use a battery charger and light dimmer to
heat a violin string. The CNC part doesn't seem too hard, either. Take

Hi,
I followed the link and really enjoyed how things were being done
without speeding too much of the beer tokens. The page on casting
using foam cut paterns was entertaining.
My question is how would I do the electric of a foam cutter wire
machine witha view to turning it into a CNC machine later.
