Right, I'm aware of this, but the guy in question was using the Rutex
step/analog servo converters, and unless he made some provisions to
split the encoder signals both to the Rutex AND the parallel port, it
would not be possible to operate that way.

How does Mach2 read 3 encoders? That would take 6 input pins, wouldn't
it?
