RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] IR proximity detector

So if I understand it correctly, it is 2 pieces of fiber optic cable, one
from the LED, and one to the detector, of which the other end of both is
"pointing" at the subject? So that it works via reflection?

Or have I missed the point entirely?
