Lee: Polaroid (camera mfg.) makes some kind of IR or phasor thing for
measuring focusing-distance. I remember seeing offers to buy "evaluation samples"
years back, but, sorry, I never got a round tuit, so I lost touch with that.
ALL the data, schematics, etc., were incl. with the IC or whatever it was, as I
recall. You might contact Polyroid and ask.
