Marcus, you should be clear and say that Mastercam HAS a pretty good CAD
system built in... (It is primarily CAM)

One shop we deal with also uses it to read our Solidworks files - 3D
models - does that require an add-on?

Anyway, there is still the price issue, as has been well covered.
Mastercam is possibly the king of the block.

Agree about Autocad, though Inventor is supposed to be quite excellent.
It is by Autodesk, but far removed from Autocad, and it is a complete
modeling package.
