I use MasterCam 7.x. The biggest drawback I find is it's very
unconventional user interface. It seems to be a hold over from the
days of DOS. (I understand Version 10 is due out ab out July and
will have a more conventional UI). You can do some cad work in
MasterCam, but if you have ever used another cad program it's sure
to not make much sense.
MasterCam Mill was pretty easy to learn but I found MasterCam Lathe
much harder to grasp. (Mainly because Version 7 does not understand
the solids data from autocad and you wind up with a bunch of
dissconnected rings instead of a solid object).
