So it sounds like what is happening is your direction pin signal is not
changing. It should be either +5(4, if that's what you get) for clockwise,
and 0V for counterclockwise; or the exact opposite. If it never changes,
then the motors will never reverse.
Check to make sure that you have the correct pin selected in Mach2, and then
measure the pin for the change in voltage when you change direction. First
measure at the PC, and then work your way through to the Centent driver.
In order to work correctly, your direction pin needs to go from (nominal) 0V
to +5V to change direction.

a clockwise motion. When I disconnect the direction wire, the motor
spins counterclockwise. I'm still getting 0-4v signals from the
parallel port and they match mach2.
