Peter, thanks a ton for the info. No luck at all with Worldservo.
They don't have any telephone numbers on their website (bad
indicator) and they haven't responded to my email yet. I printed out
the pdf you pointed to and will read up. I think the drives are
actually excellent units, but probably a little more than someone
like myself should tackle with my current knowledge. I am using the
worldservo drive software at this point, not mach2. I did try mach2
initially but when things didn't run correctlty, I started working my
way back from the drives. The software for the drives is pretty
usefull. The motors do make noise, have resistance when powered, and
turn in one of the test modes in the software. But they do wierd
inconsistant things sometimes. Most of the time they don't make a
complete rotation they just kinda osilate, shutter and the drives
shuts itself down for rms. I'll keep trying. cheers.
