Electrocraft Servos E543 Encoders

Hello,

I recently aquired a pair of Reliance-Electric Electro-Craft servos model E543 (which I've
seen mentioned previously here). I'm looking for infomation on the encoders that came
attached to the motor. They're the rotary type, but instead of 4 wires, they have a 10 pin
ribbon cable. I know that US Digital makes some encoders that use this type of
conncection, are the pin-outs a non-manufacturer specific standard? Does anyone have
experience in using this 10 pin ribbon in conjunction with the Gecko 320?
