If you can afford to go the extra cash, I'd go with a Minimill 3 or 4
from Minitech Machinery Corporation.
I have the Minimill 4, and it's one helluva machine. It uses linear
slides and ball-screw actuators, two very nice features. The specs on
their linear slides alone are overkill for a benchtop machine.
