Take a look at:

Doesn't show the actual linkage to the quill, but might give you some
general ideas. The linkage needs to be braced as there's only one bolt
holding it on so it will flex. I also made the linkage out of two pieces
so it can be separated for manual use. However, I generally use the knee
when I need manual height adjustment.
Note - the attachment method is a bit different for a Bridgeport as the
Comet has a large flat area on the face of the head whereas the
Bridgeport does not.
