I have used both the Hypertherm powermax 1100 and the Lincoln Pro cut 80 and
think that you will have good luck with them. I have also used the Esab line
of plasma cutters and find that they go through a lott of consumables.
Miller currently does not have a large selection of plasma cutters that are
rated vary high in cutting capacity. Sice you are going to get a plasma
cutter you may want to think of the max material thickness that you are
cutting now as well as in the future and base your machine that way. One
thing that you will find when cutting aluminum is that the cut is not as
smooth as you would think. Steel comes out a lot cleaner. You may want to
consider cutting a sample part before you make your purchase.

Stan

I am looking for a plasma cutter for my shop. Not going to use it for CNC
but this info might be used by others who may so I hope this is not too far
off topic.
Looking for dual 110/220 voltage, capable of severing up to 1/2" aluminum.
Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Thomas
