Anyone Familiar with an MHP S-24 CNC

Hello,
I have been searching high and low for information on an MHP S-24 CNC
mill. I never thought to ask on this group.
The reason I am asking is that 1 was available close to home for a
decent price (I think) on Ebay. Being the foolish fellow that I am, I
bought it, and now I am realizing that I need some feedback from people
who are familiar with this type of mill. I know, would have been better
to ask before I bought it. :)
The unit I bought is going to need some repairs as the Hydrapath
controller has a bad board. I am thinking that rather than spending
anything on fixing the controller, it would be better to rip it out and
use more modern technology with it. I am hoping that I could get away
with Gecko 320's and EMC, or perhaps a system from Jon Elson and EMC,
but I guess that depends on the type of servos and encoders that are on
the mill. Does anyone know the specs of the servos?
An equally large task is that I am going to have to convert the spindle
to a 220V motor as the location that I will be installing it at does not
have a 480V service. My brother, who is a machinist, seems to think that
this not too hard and is the way top go.
As you can tell, I don't have the machine yet and quite excited about it.
Thanks for any insight you can give,
Dennis
