Yup, sufficient was what I was trying to say, but my left hand was one key
over. A number of people are running Series-I BOSS stepper motors
on Gecko201 drives with good results. The microstepping probably gives
you more than the loss of an amp or so takes away. There are 2 ways to
use most of these motors, half-winding or full winding. The original
unipolar
drive was effectively half-winding at 8.7 A or something like that. So,
you could
use a Gecko drive across the full winding at 4.3 A or half winding at 7 A.
I think it has been determined that half winding at 7 A gives the best
performance.
