Laminate Trimmer for CNC

I'm working on a new larger version of a CNC Dremel table I built.
I'd like to use something bigger than a Dremel, but smaller than a
router. I'm considering a laminate trimmer. Is this a good
alternative? Also, is there a unit with a built-in speed control?
