"Smaller" CNC lathe

Hi all,
I recently joined this list in hopes of finding out about smaller-
sized CNC lathes/components for sale. I need a CNC lathe that can
machine aluminium up to 4" dia and about 4" long. A 7x10, 8x14, etc
mini-lathe will work, but I cannot find any CNC conversion parts for
it (mainly the brackets, gears, bearings, etc), and am just not
knowledgeable of the mechanical knowledge to convert it myself, nor
do I have the tools/skill to make the brackets, etc. Electronics are
no problem.
Oddly, I can find smaller CNC lathes such as the Sherline, and larger
ones such as Fanuc and other industrial brands on ebay. But nothing
in-between. The closest I've found is a conversion kit for a 9x20 by
MicroKinetics, but the $4295 price tag is unnecessarily high I
believe. I really also don't need ball-screws at this time since I
will be making just a couple parts a week, and tolerance is not super-
high.
Any links/info/pointers to other machines? Or bolt-on conversion
kits for a 7x10 lathe (which I do have)? Perhaps even used machines
for sale (other than the 10,000-lb machines on Ebay).
Thanks,
-Neil.
