I uploaded a picture of the adapter plate and collet for the lathe.

Looks like maybe I need to make a solution. I was initially looking
for something off-the-shelf. But if I make a solution maybe the best
way it to tab the back of the adapter plate and make an insert to
held the part at a fixed depth.
There is no stop screw in this collet chuck.
