This thread is pushing the envelope of CNC. Let's see if we can
bring it back on topic.


A manual way to locate your part would be to put your part into the
collet and jog your carrage to a spot and use that as a stop for the
part. then close the collet.

Another way is to use a grabber style part puller. These are full
CNC type devices that will pull a bar thru the machine for repetitive
cutting. These are mostly for multiple part cutting ie: production
of parts from bar stock.

That type of part grabber can push a part into the machine for
locating as well.

Anybody else have any automated or CNC approaches ?
