The dev kit for the motor control pic which is a full 600Volt 5A servo
controller includes software and costs only 168UKP. Looks like a better
way to go although there is probably more software development needed.

The pic board uses the same power module IRAMX16UP60A as the IRF dev
board.

I have a qoute sitting on my desk, The IRMCK201 @ 15USD and the
IRAMX16UP60A
@30USD Minimum order quantities = 90 for both. I believe you do get some
development software with the development kit for tuning the drives to
the
motors you are using
