I'm not sure that most of the stuff is already available in some form
or another.

The waterjet nozzel is hard and a specific size. The feeder tube
that feeds in the abrasive is also a very specific size.

From there the hoses and fittings are simple as is a pump. A nice
little diesel would do great if you had a need to run for a
production shop.

The X/Y stuff we already know about.

The one thing that seems would be a barrier is the software to move
the head in relation to cutting.
