Maybe a little confusion. EMC can control either steppers or servos. When
set up for steppers EMC outputs step and direction signals through the
parallel port. When set up for servos EMC controls them through a Servo to
GO card without any step and direction signals.
My understanding of the DeskNCrt program is that it just contains the
stepper code and not the servo code. Dan Mauch at Camtronics has been
working with Carl to get this program to market and is the one that told me
the software will support encoder feedback. Maybe Dan can give us an idea
when the software will be ready for prime time?
Seems to me we should work at getting Carl of Deskam onto this list. Maybe
if we all send him an e-mail he will get the idea this it the place to be.
