the position llop is closed by the encoder
but that's not the loop you're concerned with
the PROCESS loop wraps entirely around the CNc
it is in control
lag means nothing
PID loops wont work
the arc voltage determines the correct postion NOT time
time runs most CNC's
as in: it's now 2mS later, your were HERE you should now be THEREA so
here's a new command for your amplifier.

in arc control, the correct position is >on the path< and >wherever the arc
sex to be<
right now it could be here and 2mS later it could be >either< foward or
backward of the
last position, entirely dependant on the arc voltage.

take a look at the original work done by the Lazerenkov's at end of
WWII.11/16/04 +0000,

i gotta restate it:
the arc voltage closes the position loop
the cnc lives under the process
the position is dependant on the arc voltage ( called GAP VOLTAGE by most

BTW what's a THC? do you mean a Heidenhain TNC (taste numerik kontrolle)?
(i think a THC is illegal :-)
