Well, I've been using EMC for machining since 1999. I have a klunky
trackball
instead of a mouse. It works a bit better in the shop environment. I
have it
perched on top of the video monitor. I have to use the mouse to switch
to a different window to edit or search for files, to load a part file, and
to shut down. Otherwise, I don't need the mouse/trackball at all when
running EMC. I can jog, run, stop, change the feed override, etc. all from
the keyboard.
