This guy sounds like Allen Babbin, from the area of
Westbury, Connecticut. He was (maybe still is) associated
with New England Machinetool Company. I "won" a YAHOO
auction for a taper attachment for my 13" South Bend lathe,
sent the money, and never got the attachment. Never replied
to my e-mails, either. I notified YAHOO, and got the
"standard' reply that they'd 'investigate'. Never heard
from them again. I went to the courthouse, and found that
filing papers for "Small-Claims" would cost more that I'd
already lost... Maybe, before the Statute of Limitations
passes, I'll try to go to the Post Office, since I sent the
money via U.S. Mail, I might be able to claim 'Fraud'. You
have my deepest sympathies. I know how you feel! It's just
too bad you can't get somebody close by to 'lean' on him...
