I have the table currently off of my 9x42 and used a test indicator
to measure the knee side to side play. Came up with .0003" with my
240# throne against the side of the knee. The leadscrew, while
maybe not the most accurate, is not going to have backlash. The
big problem with driving the knee is going to be the bevel gears.
Mine are unbelieveably sloppy. I can not imagine driving the knee
through these gears. Some kind of upgrade or redesign would probably
work wonders for accuracy, even though Mach2 has backlash
compensation.
