Hi Scott,
Sorry! I just wanted to make sure. Look for a surplus 24V power
supply. Marlin P. Jones and the like. But MAKE SURE you have the
transformer isolation! A VARIAC won't do!
I have an API driver running a NEMA #43 stepper on an antenna rotating
project (direction finding), and it's performance was marginal until I
upped the voltage from 24 to 36V.
Your transformer isolated, variable PS into a driver will test your
performance just fine. Just don't exceed the MFG's voltage rating.
Some of these modules use chips that are REALLY critical about that!
