Just use a solenoid and a timer to actuate the pump. Adjust the timer to control the amount.

Hi Jon,

The lines I'm thinking of is pistons operated via a motor and a camshaft
similar to the way valves on a car operate. The cams could have multiple
lobes when more oil is necessary such as for the leadscrews. The motor drive
could be geared down to deliver one revolution per hour and the amount of
oil per stroke could be controlled via the diameter of the piston. It should
be possible to have a piston for each oiling point rather than having a
manifold. I would also include some sort of manual lever to give every point
a shot before starting the machine.

What do you think?

Terry
