Bridgeport w/sigma 42 steppers and Gecko 201s (rev C4) and TurboCNC
everything hooked up(jumper inside of Gecko for 42 motors), I'm getting some strange voltage readings which I don't think are correct or maybe they are...
for the "common" (pin 10 on Gecko), my printer cable reads 5vdc UNTIL I connect it the the Geckos, then I get 1.9vdc on all number 10 pins.
for step and dir, I get the following readings:
2-dir=.1vdc
3-step=.1
4-dir= 2.5vdc
5-step=.1
6-dir= 2.5vdc
7-step=.1
all 12 Phase pins read 37vdc (75vdc powersupply)
I have it wired in series per the procedure in the files section
6 jumpered to 5
3 connected to phase A+
1 connected to phase A-
8 jumpered to 7
4 connected to phase B+
2 connected to phase B-

I can only access the leadscrew on the Y due to the machine not having any manual methods of movement...with no power I can turn the leadscrew freely, but I feel a slight "step"...with power on, I have about the same resistance, but it steps much more, I can see the table "jump"
thanks,
Mike
