I have seen thousands of blown fuses over time, many times, you replace it
and forget about
it. Fuses tend to contract and expand everytime you use them, so like
bending a coathanger wire, they
eventually break. Change it, if it blows, then you have a shorted FET is the
most likely possibility. Fets can short very
easily, it can only take one spike over the Fets voltage rating to do so.
Fets are very voltage sensitive, but that having
been said, I have found personally that in similar circuitry, about 20% of
the time, its the fuse iteslf thats bad, nothing else.
