Question on Mariss' E-Stop circuit

Is there going to be any problem using this circuit as the main "on -
off" mechanism for my controller? Will the dump resistor and my big
capacitor handle the "dump cycles"? I'm just getting the machine
going so I think there is going to be more "on - off" cycles than
usual for a while. Taig mill, 28vdc unregulated ps, steppers.

Or is there another way?

TIA,
Monte
