Crystal clear packaging tape over the top of regular inkjet paper for an overlay. Works great. I did a wiring diagram for mine in Cad and printed it out. Then just ran parallel strips over it and out over the edges and trimmed it with an x-acto knife. If worried about the middle sagging just punch a couple holes here and there in it.

My question is does anyone know of a way to make a workman like
overlay for the panel using a HP Deskjet 1220C printer? The printing
area is big enough to allow printing an overlay that covers the whole
panel in one piece of something. I want to put labels near each
connector to indicate the connectors purpose. I have a CAD program that
can be used to drive the printer. I would like the overlay to be
resistant to the stuff that gets sprayed about near the machine, if
possible.
