I may be able to help
we had a denford until a year ago. Check that the proximity switches on the axis are clean (no metal stuck to them) and adjusted / tightened and are in working order
check the relays in the box they maybe burnt or sticking.
other than that do a retro fit soon :-))
we sold ours and bought a Haas SL10 (full house)
just thought I'd brag a bit :-))

hi all have bought an old 1982 denford easiturn lathe
with what is called a PNC2C controler, poss state of the art in the
