A brief update on finding a replacement power supply for the
Positron-3A 3-axis DRO, for those who might need the information
someday. Chris at Little Machine Shop told me the adapter is made by
Panasonic: 5.3 volts, 1 amp, positive center on the connector.
Unfortunately, he had none in stock (though a Korean web site has it
for 57000 won; it was originally intended for a digital camera). 5.3
volts isn't a standard voltage, so I had to either round up or round
down. Based on the battery holder for three AAs, I figured 3*1.5 volts
would suffice, and bought a Radio Shack 4.5v, 700 ma wall transformer
(type 273-1757, with Adaptaplug type K). As far as I can tell, this
works fine; I'm using all three axes, and the displays update
correctly and are sufficiently legible.
