Hi Andrey
My favorite is the HP QEDS 7000 encoder, but the Bourns encoder is ok. Use
either two inputs on a parallel port, or the joystick interface. A 1K pullup
resistor may be needed. The two other sw inputs on the joystick interface may
be used for two push buttons.
There was a discussion on the turbocnc list a month back "encoder jogging", you
might want to read through.
Look at the pix of this group under "Driver Power supplies" for pix of the
pendant I built.
My code requires a full cycle, so I get the same number of steps as the encode
has cycles. Other code may switch on each edge of the quadrature signals.
SP-16 shaft encoder from US digital.
