It's called a "Yoke".

I got a Bridgeport retrofit kit (screws and yoke) from
www.MachineToolsDirect.net (through eBay). They may also have kits for
the smaller machines, but I'm not sure. The quality is high - they're
ground screws, with test reports showing a max of about .0003936 inches
over 1 foot. The cost was $640 (though they're $599 now - look at eBay
item # 7521132928 ).
