Jon, Scott, The Rockford screws I have on my other B'port have a yoke that is pretty flimsy looking too. Even less substantial than the stock Acme yoke. Although if you look at how it mounts in the mill. It's quite adequate. The mounting holes to ballnut axis distances are very short and well supported. It;s kind of a deceiving design. If you take into consideration the directional forces and look at the casting and how it's made it makes sense.
No luck on a set that will just drop right in on the Baby bridgeport yet.
I'll wind up making them from stock screws and nuts from Mcmaster-Carr. Just a matter of hotsawing them to length and turning/grinding the ends down. Hopefully they are like Thompson shaft and once the .080" case is turned back the center can be machined and threaded. I'm assuming the are to prevent warpage during heat treat. I'll be finding out. I'll keep everyone posted.

you can
add a lot of beef to the yoke without causing interference.
