Eric:
least 500 checks per rotation, so I put in code allowing for several pulses
per rev, it has been tested to death and was found that one per rev works
just as well in almost all instances. If the lathe actually does slow too
much for correction at once per rev, the lathe is broken. (Is the general
concensis :) ). It took alot of testing to convince me that was true, but
in the end, the very few that told me I was going overboard with more than
one, turned out to be correct. The photos of the threads brought me around,
even very small hobby lathes are turning out pretty darn good threads in
Mach3, way better than I ever imagined, I doubt they would pass inspection
at Boeing, but they seem to make the threader happy.. :)
