Remember it is not limited to proximity sensors. You can connect normal
limit switches between the common screw terminal and the ground screw
terminal.
One advantage of the board is that the input is optically isolated.
Optically isolated inputs have an added value in the ability to eliminate
very narrow transit noise pulses that would otherwise cause a false limit
condition.
