no, wait....

The premise is that the transformer is designed for a resistive load
and should be sized 1.8 times for the inductive load.

but, is that for the AC or for the DC ?

four, 6 amp motors times 43 volts AC = 1,032
four 6 amp motors times 60 volts DC = 1,440

Wouldn't the DC filter caps decouple the load to some degree ? or is
that what the 66% is for ?
