Hi Dave,
Didn't bother with the scope. The last stepper driver I designed used PAL
logic along with the comparators to do all the logic switching. That's when
you can really see text book inductor curves etc. A few years ago I
designed a CDI ignition which required a custom toroid inductor. Had to
wrestle with core saturation on that project. Once that was solved the
current through the inductor was textbook. Too cool.
