Yes, it works! Not so much for improved resolution but for smoothness
of the motors and acceleration throught resonance bands. I have two
edentical steppers on a gantry router, one with a half-step driver
and the other with a microstepping Gecko. There is no comparison
between the two. The motor with the Gecko sounds almost like a servo.
