I'm using the EMC modules from www.embeddedtronics.com They are only 3A per
phase and no more than 55VDC but buying the parts from Digikey and
assembling them myself for the size 23 steppers I'm using cost me 1/3rd of
GECKOs.
The source code for the PIC micro-controller is supplied and I modified it
for the Bytecraft C compiler. The newest source code from EAS now also
reduces current to the motor after 3 minutes.
