As for schematics, that depends on your future needs. Eagle is far
and away the most popular but his has a horrible learning curve.
WinQCAD is much simplier to learn and offers almost everything Eagle
does, including direct G-code output.
Google for olimex, the make boards but have a long list of software
vendors and list who has free demos and such.
