I have two large-ish cnc mills with the smaller one weighing 4000
pounds....I'd like to have a lil tabletop cnc mill for doing little bit of
engraving just for fun..I am not in the market for one right now...But to
add my opinion to the mix..I'd rather build my own unless buying a kit or
completed lil mill were just cheap...I tend to think I am pretty common
fellow and so I tend to think that lot of other hobbiests are just about
like myself- wont readily pop 5K on a toy...Particularly when the fun can be
started immediately and cheaper by starting to collect parts for a do it
yourself project.......But........I can also imagine Sears marketing a small
cnc mill with their name on it , they not manufacturing the things, but
carrying them with their name on it....I even imagine they would sell quite
a few of them , but I doubt it would put a dent in the number of folks
building their own-- Likely it would attract woodworkers , hobbiests, folks
who never ever gave CNC's any serious thought before...Lot of guys would put
one on their same charge card as their riding mower..It being much a matter
of somebody- Sears, making it easy for them to get started in it.
