I finished the 3 axis 4aupc hobbycnc board last night and am
only waiting for the recommended transformer to power it up.
I also went and bought a dremel flexshaft(new version)and a $240
Foredom setup to make custom Z shaft holders for the machine.
I don't really know why I didn't already have the Foredom...
all professional jewelers use them and this one will take a 1/4" bit
down to 3/32"(model # 2276).
Plus it'll run all day long.
PERFECT for cnc.
I'm working on getting a real web site up very soon.
I'll show results within a week or two.
One thing I'd like to try is selling the machine as a kit
(at an even lesser price to members of this group),but here's
my problem.
What do I include?
How close do tolerances need to be?
Let me add this...this thing should be customizable,
easy to fix,solid,stable,reliable.
Say you've get a project on a thursday afternoon requiring
precision and detail...but you notice you have to tighten
things up a bit...You can make a nut with NO backlash from
a kitchen cutting board and a 1/4-20 tap in 10 minutes.
No waiting for UPS or screwed up orders for parts.
The motor moves -the axis moves.
I'm thinking of this because the people here are fully capable
of bringing out much potential in this machine.
But I'd only sell it to someone who was actually going to do
something with it.I don't want it sitting on a shelf for six months.
Fix it up -show others!
I'm not out to get anyone's money...I want to
fun with this and make contributions to the "hobby"(it would be
nice to make a small living at the same time though).
I'm open to all and any idea's
