Erie, by Neutrik connectors(a brand name) do you mean the Speakon
connectors?

And xlr4's are rated at 10amps(from Neutrik, anyway)

instead of xlr4's I'd use 4 pole neutrik connectors, they lock postively

and are rated for power use.
